How’d I get here?
Hello! I’m Cassidy Pipino! Welcome to my portfolio.
Graduating into the earliest days of the pandemic shaped the way I understand design, not only as an aesthetic pursuit, but as a tool for higher-level problem-solving. At the time, I worked at ski resorts where I saw how system-level changes had cascading effects on guest experience, revenue, and workforce stability. Later, supporting operations for a garage door installation company deepened my interest in the way things are built and rebuilt. Small design decisions from materials, layout, and repair processes have wide-reaching impacts on safety, function, and curb appeal. These experiences helped me realize that thoughtful design can balance practical needs with aspirational goals. My experiences also sparked a desire to pursue design more intentionally, especially where it can help people live healthier, better-supported lives.
I want to design products and reimagine systems that address public health challenges with empathy and precision. I’m especially drawn to the parts of healthcare that fall between clinical care and social context, more specifically the overlooked or underserved experiences that shape how people access, engage with, and benefit from care. My academic foundation in public health taught me to consider how systems affect populations. A design approach not only produces tools and services but also provides the strategic framing necessary to craft equitable, adaptable policies that grow alongside the populations they serve. My goal is to create or adapt systems and tools that help more people live healthier lives, and to do so with clarity, compassion, and a mindset open to adaptation and change.
Cheers!
Cassidy
